Vibration in 88 ford ranger?
You should always mark your relations of the yokes on the shaft and transmission and rear end with white-out.
So when you put the shaft back in , it is back in the same spot.
Now I suggest you , go turn the drive shaft an quarter turn on both ends till you find where it did sit.
Mark it first though.
One on the drive shaft yoke , and one on the rear end plate connector.
One on the yoke and one on the transmission tail shaft.
make 1/4 turns to the shaft until it quits vibrating.
If you go all the way around and it dose not stop vibrating .
You need to take the shaft to a machine shop and have them re-balance it with weights welded on (kinda like tire weights for balancing).
Allways mark your relations

okay.. id say check alignment of u-joint cups at differintial yoke...many yokes are recessed so u-joint fit PERFECTLY...however some require the c- locks be installed on loose to insure proper alignment...my cyber guess is pop driveshaft loose then reinstall insuring proper seating of joint in rear yoke
