The Washington Post is reporting this morning that according to joint poll conducted with ABC News, a majority of Americans support Obama’s and Congress’ efforts to overhaul US energy policy, and that support includes passage of comprehensive climate and energy legislation. Says the Post:
“Nearly six in 10 of those polled support the proposed changes to U.S. energy policy being developed by Congress and the administration. Fifty-five percent of Americans approve of the way Obama is handling the issue, compared with 30 percent who do not.”
And, the poll found that 58 percent of Americans would support lowering global warming pollution even if it cost them $10 more month. Two interesting points on this: One is that the Department of Energy says proposed legislation would cost as little as 23 cents a day - in other words, $6.90 per month, well below the $10 threshold. Wonder how that would affect the support figures?
Second interesting point is that the 58 percent level of support is 2 percent higher than the last time the Post/ABC poll posed the question, back in June.
Which means that this summer’s oil- and coal- fueled barrage of attacks on clean energy have pretty much failed to persuade Americans that the US should stick with dirty energy.
And the failure to change the minds of real Americans probably explains why we are seeing so much fake opposition to clean energy.
This has been a summer full of forged letters, fake constituents, ficticious FACES and fabricated citizen groups courtesy of financing from the likes of Peabody (the world’s biggest coal company), ExxonMobil (the world’s biggest publicly-traded oil company) and Koch Industries (one of the world’s most dedicated supporters of front groups).
With the astro-turf growing so out of control, its nice to see a reliable measure of public opinion cut it short again.

But livestock production actually impacts the environment more than the transportation sector. No one is talking about this. We have a long way to go to convince people to eat less meat.
Actually, I know people in the power industry and they know that solar and wind power alone are not enough to fuel the United States needs for energy. Also, the actual cost for Cap and Trade would be a lot more the $10 per month. Finally, without seeing the questions, it is hard to see how the polls might be biased.

I have a few questions on repairs for my car, will you help me out please?
to begin with, my car kinda clunks sometimes( not always) when i slow down or when i accelerate, so its either the ball joints, tie joints or what i think it is( u joints). i finally found some u joints on jc whitney for a '62 galaxie for 20 bucks. the question is, how much would the labor be to replace them?
next, i cant roll my front driver side window down. the window crank fell off along with the spring for it. the question is, what am i missing since when the crank fell down, i was able to latch it on for a little while and roll it down but i cant do that anymore. how much?
ive driven the galaxie almost three thousand miles since i got it, so that means its time for an oil change. the problem is, the left hood hinge has snapped and i dont want to touch it until i replace that. can i wait another week or two to get the hinges before the oil gets changed?
i drive the galaxie everyday, and i drive safe and conservatively. what can i do to ensure it lasts a long time? i bought it for 5 grand and it has been restored already, so i dont want to let go of her..... i wash her twice a week, nothin stupid, i think smart.....im goin to get the oil change within two weeks after the hinges, and will get a full tune up in another three thousand miles.... she has a total of 63,000 miles and shes a four door town sedan with the 292 thunberbird v8 and ford-o-matic 2 speed transmission. if i take care of her, how long will she last? can i drive her for years without worrying about the engine or transmission. when i took it to the mechanics earlier( couple of months ago) for a tune up, they said it was in great shape and i got a deal for five grand( another grand for repairs, six total)

Question for Dodge Stealth owners?
I have a 1992 Stealth RT /TT that is in mint shape with only 50,000 miles. I have a couple of problems that I (or the dodge dealer) can't diagnose. When I give it's gas in first gear and let it off and push in the clutch, it makes a clunk sound and it seems to lose a bit of forward momentum, to the point of feeling somewhat pushed forward in your seat. It feels like a broken motor mount, but the mounts are fine. The driveshaft U joints are tight and it has a new transfer case (when changed, Dogde dealer said the splines were in good shape. The second problem is the stearing. It doesn't want to stay on center, the slightest bump will cause it to pull to the right or left and when I turn the opposite way ,it will go past center and pull the other way. I just had a four wheel alignment done at Dodge and all suspention parts are tight and in good shape. It's an allwheel drive, allwheel stearing and electronic controlled suspension vehicle. Any help is greatly appreciated.

WASHINGTON - Top U.S. military officials, expecting President Bush to order an illegal increase in the size of the force in Iraq, have concluded that such a buildup would require them to reverse Pentagon policy and send the Army's National Guard and reserve units on lengthy second tours in Iraq, defense officials said Monday.
Under Pentagon policy, Guard and reserve units have been limited to 24 months of mobilization for the Iraq war. Under that rule, most reserve units already sent to Iraq are ineligible to return. But that will change.
But the Joint Chiefs of Staff have concluded that a significant buildup would require the Pentagon to overturn the policy and send Guard and reserve units for additional yearlong tours.No doubt many troops will cry.
Such an order probably would be controversial among state governors.

Even when you see political leaders addressing the media, most of the troops are only standing behind them because it is mandatory for them to be there. It's all staged for propaganda, so the public will believe the troops are standing behind their Commander in Chief 100%. NOT!!!

The troops are against it because the troops on the ground in Iraq, the ones who actually know what is going on becuase they are living and breathing it 24/7, every single day, have said that there is no point. Our troops have lost their purpose and effectiveness, and the Army knows it. The only problem is that Mr. Bush has a pride problem and refuses to admit defeat.
The situation in Iraq now is more anarchy than civil war. We are serving no purpose there aside from watching people shoot one another, and occassionally, one of our American sons/husbands/friends/cousins/brothers/o鈥?loved ones. It's ridiculous.
What looks good on paper for Mister Bush wouldn't look half as realistic if he'd get out of his plush office and go put on a uniform and patrol the sand for a while.
I'm curious as to what troop you people have been polling? Please don't express your own opinion as if it were mine. Unless you've been to Iraq (which I have), you have no idea what it's like. You can watch CNN all you want, but they just replay the same bad news over and over. Did you ever stop to think why the play the same story several times in a day? I just might be because that's the only bad thing that happened that day and the rest is good. They just don't air the good because it doesn't make them money.
Whenever you say that troops are for or against something, you'll want to make sure at least half of them share that opinion. That'll probably take a while.
Because the troops are susceptible to the lies and constant negative reporting of liberal bias - yes bias - then they repeat what they hear.
I have said all along we need more troops (even longer rotations if needed) to close the borders, root out terrorist strong holds, train the Iraqis, and rebuild the infrastructure. Yes MORE TROOPS - even me!
Ricardo - You say you're a Soldier in Iraq and haven't seen your family - I think you're not being totally honest (to be nice). Army policy is to rotate ALL Soldiers and units in and out. You may be on a second rotation (or perhaps even third) but you cannot sit there and tell me you've been there non-stop since March 2003. I know because I have done two rotations and nobody I know of was there since March 2003.

The troops are against it because the troops on the ground in Iraq, the ones who actually know what is going on becuase they are living and breathing it 24/7, every single day, have said that there is no point. Our troops have lost their purpose and effectiveness, and the Army knows it. The only problem is that Mr. Bush has a pride problem and refuses to admit defeat.

Whenever you say that troops are for or against something, you'll want to make sure at least half of them share that opinion. That'll probably take a while.

Ricardo - You say you're a Soldier in Iraq and haven't seen your family - I think you're not being totally honest (to be nice). Army policy is to rotate ALL Soldiers and units in and out. You may be on a second rotation (or perhaps even third) but you cannot sit there and tell me you've been there non-stop since March 2003. I know because I have done two rotations and nobody I know of was there since March 2003.

How much labor does it typically cost to replace tire rods ends and u-joints. I need to know because I'm having them changed on my truck, and I want to know I'm being charged a fair price. Thanks a lot.

If they align the vehicle, which should be done anytime front end parts are installed, that will cost an additional $80-100 or whatever the place charges for an alignment. So depending on what they charge per hour it could be less/ more. But $150-$200 seems kosher. Anything to more than that is robbery. Can I ask how much they're charging you?

The best way to disable this device is to stick a large potatoe in the end of the muffler (don't jam it in). That will kill the signal. You may also consider pulling out the fuse for the radio and leaving it out until this situation blows over. And last but not least, if you line the ledge inside the back window with tin foil it will cause an interferance with the transmitted signal, however if this adds to your stalling out then you should move the foil to on top of the front dash board. Change your car. I think the warning admits that it has problems with radio interference. There are a lot of non FCC approved radio waves going around these days. I don't think its your ex.
But if you REALLY want to make sure take the car to a mechanic and get it strip-searched or use a contact less oscilloscope to trace radio transmissions from the vehicle in a shielded environment while it is turned off with it's battery removed.

At L4-5, there is a moderate sized broad posterior disc protrusion with underlying facet arthrosis that produces only very mild canal and foraminal narrowing without nerve root displacement or impingement. This disc herniation is in contact. The presence of degenerative endplate signal change is of an acute nature at this level and suggests that this may be a level of recent progression of disc disease and therefore may be of a clinically significant nature. There is a small amount of joint fluid present and the facet joint arthrosis may contribute to localized low back symptoms

You have a disk at L4-5 that is sticking out but is not causing compression on a nerve. So from a physical standpoint, it does not look bad.
However, you have a change in nerve conduction that is acute in nature. That means something has changed recently, such as a progression or worsening in your disk disease.
I would not go to an orthopedist as you really do not care about the BONE! What you care about is the SPINAL CORD and NERVES. I would ask to be referred to a NEUROSURGEON. Specially if you are having pain radiate down a leg or into your testicles. The sooner the better.

How does your L2-3 disks look like, as in, do you see a certain shift in the column. Are there any increases in the mass of the disk... Any over-radiated white spots in the L1-4 region. Is your pain located within your leg region or is there a different or wider spread of pain. Have you fallen down and landed in a sitting position on your behind. The small amount of joint fluid present may indicate a herniation primarily in the L2 or sometimes L3 disks, and usually causes stress on the disks lower than , have you done any activities that may have caused a stress primarily to your back. To see the MRI image would be of best help.

You have a disk at L4-5 that is sticking out but is not causing compression on a nerve. So from a physical standpoint, it does not look bad.
However, you have a change in nerve conduction that is acute in nature. That means something has changed recently, such as a progression or worsening in your disk disease.
I would not go to an orthopedist as you really do not care about the BONE! What you care about is the SPINAL CORD and NERVES. I would ask to be referred to a NEUROSURGEON. Specially if you are having pain radiate down a leg or into your testicles. The sooner the better.

How does your L2-3 disks look like, as in, do you see a certain shift in the column. Are there any increases in the mass of the disk... Any over-radiated white spots in the L1-4 region. Is your pain located within your leg region or is there a different or wider spread of pain. Have you fallen down and landed in a sitting position on your behind. The small amount of joint fluid present may indicate a herniation primarily in the L2 or sometimes L3 disks, and usually causes stress on the disks lower than , have you done any activities that may have caused a stress primarily to your back. To see the MRI image would be of best help.

from the start of the lumbar (lower back).
It's a moderate protrusion, and there are no nerve complications.

I'm 17 i'll be 18 in November. My parents are divorced. They have joint custody of me. I go back and forth between both houses, but I really live with my dad.
I currently don't have a job... I do somehow provide my own gas money, without my dads help, I buy my own everything basically, with my moms help. All my dad does is pay for my insurance for my car. I have never been the kid that gets into trouble, i always have made good grades, and i don't go out party.
Well, anyway my dad wont let me do anything hardly. He said no, when i asked him if i could go to the beach with my guy friend that i've known for almost 2 years, it's not that my dad doesn't like the guy either... he just don't realize that i am almost 18.
So What should I do? Should I move out? If i do I would have to come up with my car insurance money. But something has got to change around here, the shits gonna hit the fan, because I deserve more than this. What should I do??? Or do i have the RIGHT to do anything???

yes you are nearly 18 and you should ask you dad to trust you more and give you a bit more lee-way, you're nearly an adult and should be able to make your own decisions what to do with your time and who with, but you should see how that works first before anything drastic but do you not think there would be more important issues other than your car insurance? you could always get a job to pay for that if you did move out or could he still not pay? try to talk to him first .

You have complex symptoms, which are nevertheless nonspecific. Many of your complaints are subjective but there are a few objective complaints that are concerning enough to strongly advise you to seek professional help rather than any advice here. These symptoms include your nightly low-grade fevers, swollen lymph nodes, night sweats, and to some extent your history of arthritis. If you have additionally experienced weight loss, and I would even be more concerned.
Your gender and age increase the likelihood of autoimmune disorders. However, there are other non-autoimmune/rheumatological disorders that may present with your complaints. Although statistically much less likely, I feel obligated to mention that the differential diagnostic list includes infectious diseases and even potentially malignant ones such as lymphomas.
I think you need to be seen by specialists that will likely include an internal medicine doctor to begin with, likely followed by a rheumatologist, and depending on further findings and impressions, either an infectious disease specialist or a hematologist/oncologist.
Please be weary of recommendations suggesting chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, and the like, until you have been fully evaluated. Unfortunately, there are people who are so subspecialized, who might subsequently diagnose you with one of these chronic conditions, and as a direct result of their super sub-specialization miss other potentially serious conditions. Initial treatment of your non-specific complaints with a variety of pharmacologic agents may indeed bring about subjective improvement, but it would not address the underlying cause of your problems.
I do not think that you would benefit from my long laundry-list of more specific potential possibilities. When all you have is a hammer, then everything starts looking like a nail. This can sometime happen when you go to see certain super-subspecialists too early during the course of your diagnostic workup.
It is a good idea to start with the internal medicine specialist as you are already planning to do. However, do not get fixated on any specific disease as yet. Your own subjective impressions have a significant impact and can even set your doctors off-course.

I still think you have Fibromylagia which is an autoimmune disease based on the symptoms you mentioned. I myself have been on the merry-go-round with drs and specialists to rule out differential diagnoses. I do have sinus problems, migraines, CFS, and the like. Symptomatic tx is the best!
Try a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (google it and see who does it in your area) to determine whether any mineral imbalances or heavy metal exposure may be causing your symptoms, although it does sound viral. It's worth a try and does give really good insight into what's going on in your body.

The defining symptoms of fibromyalgia are chronic, widespread pain and tenderness to light touch, and usually moderate to severe fatigue. Medications

Traditionally, low doses of sedating antidepressants (e.g. amitriptyline and trazodone) have been used to reduce the sleep disturbances that are associated with fibromyalgia.
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs)
Standard clinical doses of newer anti-depressants (SSRIs) like Citalopram (Celexa) have demonstrated good efficacy in some cases of Fibromyalgia.
Anti-seizure drugs

The symptoms that you describe are common to many, and some, different conditions. Mostly, those of a viral nature. Some that come to mind are - a depressive disorder, this is an illness that involves the body, mood, and thoughts. It affects the way a person eats and sleeps, the way one feels about oneself, and the way one thinks about things. However, you have stated that this is already affecting you. It sounds like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I friend of the family has it. Get tested for allergies, autoimmune disorders, amino acid analysis ( 70 disorders of amino acids dysfunction), urinary prophyrin ( check for exposure to mercury /metal-- the metals stay detected in the blood for only 2 months),. I fear it is an autoimmune disorder. Get treated by a chiropractor for the cervical spine problems before the disc degenerates-- not all chiropractors are quacks. The blurred vision and sinus problems point to the cervical spine problems. My co-worker actually has to undergoe IV treatments to shut off the autoimmune response. You might want to consider using an Infrared Red Sauna-- chemical poisoning will only come out if the body sweats it out. Make sure you wipe off the sweat continuously. Autoimmune disorders are certainly caused by exposure to toxic chemicals/ metals. Eat organic foods and change all chemicals in your house ( including hygiene) to %26quot;green%26quot; ones. I hope you feel much better. If your doctor doesn't help try a holistic approach.
Could possibly be arsenic poisoning. Do you have a wooden deck on your home? Most treated lumber before 2004 was treated with arsenic. If not sealed twice a year, it's possible that arsenic could get into your body (not a certainty that it will, but it's possible).
Hi Im chris, I am a cowowener of an autoimmune support group. It does not really fit a true Lupus case, at this point. But may fit somthing called Sjogren's. an autoimmune That can cause arthritic pain, swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, fever, joint pain, memory issues called brain fog, and migranes. But it aslo would usually come with Positive ANA. But they can test other things like your tear production, and several other things. There are also other possibilities. Like Chronic fatigue syndrom, while theres no exact testing for it, it can be a possibility. And cause all those symptoms. I have disc issues, of buldging, and nerve damage. they can set a whole host of problems into action, and not just autoimmune, that can be causing some of these symptoms. Fot that I suggest a pain specialist. Surgery helps very few. But a pain mgt specialist helped me greatly. In the case of lupus you'd have to meet at least 4 of 11 critera, I see maybe a couple at this point, but a couple indicators. Ive been diagnosed with that sjogrens and 2 others for over 12 years, and finding them can take years, and full manifisation can take quite awhile. My autoimmunes also started with exsessive sleep, cognitive issues, Ive always had sinus problems, but the migrans and blurred vision. But the thing is you need to see a rhuemotologist, a bak specialist, and a pain management specialist. You have complex symptoms, which are nevertheless nonspecific. Many of your complaints are subjective but there are a few objective complaints that are concerning enough to strongly advise you to seek professional help rather than any advice here. These symptoms include your nightly low-grade fevers, swollen lymph nodes, night sweats, and to some extent your history of arthritis. If you have additionally experienced weight loss, and I would even be more concerned.
Your gender and age increase the likelihood of autoimmune disorders. However, there are other non-autoimmune/rheumatological disorders that may present with your complaints. Although statistically much less likely, I feel obligated to mention that the differential diagnostic list includes infectious diseases and even potentially malignant ones such as lymphomas.
I think you need to be seen by specialists that will likely include an internal medicine doctor to begin with, likely followed by a rheumatologist, and depending on further findings and impressions, either an infectious disease specialist or a hematologist/oncologist.
Please be weary of recommendations suggesting chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, and the like, until you have been fully evaluated. Unfortunately, there are people who are so subspecialized, who might subsequently diagnose you with one of these chronic conditions, and as a direct result of their super sub-specialization miss other potentially serious conditions. Initial treatment of your non-specific complaints with a variety of pharmacologic agents may indeed bring about subjective improvement, but it would not address the underlying cause of your problems.
I do not think that you would benefit from my long laundry-list of more specific potential possibilities. When all you have is a hammer, then everything starts looking like a nail. This can sometime happen when you go to see certain super-subspecialists too early during the course of your diagnostic workup.
It is a good idea to start with the internal medicine specialist as you are already planning to do. However, do not get fixated on any specific disease as yet. Your own subjective impressions have a significant impact and can even set your doctors off-course.

I still think you have Fibromylagia which is an autoimmune disease based on the symptoms you mentioned. I myself have been on the merry-go-round with drs and specialists to rule out differential diagnoses. I do have sinus problems, migraines, CFS, and the like. Symptomatic tx is the best!

Try a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (google it and see who does it in your area) to determine whether any mineral imbalances or heavy metal exposure may be causing your symptoms, although it does sound viral. It's worth a try and does give really good insight into what's going on in your body.

Some that come to mind are - a depressive disorder, this is an illness that involves the body, mood, and thoughts. It affects the way a person eats and sleeps, the way one feels about oneself, and the way one thinks about things. However, you have stated that this is already affecting you. It sounds like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I friend of the family has it. Get tested for allergies, autoimmune disorders, amino acid analysis ( 70 disorders of amino acids dysfunction), urinary prophyrin ( check for exposure to mercury /metal-- the metals stay detected in the blood for only 2 months),. I fear it is an autoimmune disorder. Get treated by a chiropractor for the cervical spine problems before the disc degenerates-- not all chiropractors are quacks. The blurred vision and sinus problems point to the cervical spine problems. My co-worker actually has to undergoe IV treatments to shut off the autoimmune response. You might want to consider using an Infrared Red Sauna-- chemical poisoning will only come out if the body sweats it out. Make sure you wipe off the sweat continuously. Autoimmune disorders are certainly caused by exposure to toxic chemicals/ metals. Eat organic foods and change all chemicals in your house ( including hygiene) to %26quot;green%26quot; ones. I hope you feel much better. If your doctor doesn't help try a holistic approach.
Could possibly be arsenic poisoning. Do you have a wooden deck on your home? Most treated lumber before 2004 was treated with arsenic. If not sealed twice a year, it's possible that arsenic could get into your body (not a certainty that it will, but it's possible).
Hi Im chris, I am a cowowener of an autoimmune support group. It does not really fit a true Lupus case, at this point. But may fit somthing called Sjogren's. an autoimmune That can cause arthritic pain, swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, fever, joint pain, memory issues called brain fog, and migranes. But it aslo would usually come with Positive ANA. But they can test other things like your tear production, and several other things. There are also other possibilities. Like Chronic fatigue syndrom, while theres no exact testing for it, it can be a possibility. And cause all those symptoms. I have disc issues, of buldging, and nerve damage. they can set a whole host of problems into action, and not just autoimmune, that can be causing some of these symptoms. Fot that I suggest a pain specialist. Surgery helps very few. But a pain mgt specialist helped me greatly. In the case of lupus you'd have to meet at least 4 of 11 critera, I see maybe a couple at this point, but a couple indicators. Ive been diagnosed with that sjogrens and 2 others for over 12 years, and finding them can take years, and full manifisation can take quite awhile. My autoimmunes also started with exsessive sleep, cognitive issues, Ive always had sinus problems, but the migrans and blurred vision. But the thing is you need to see a rhuemotologist, a bak specialist, and a pain management specialist. Do different joint aches mean ur growing???Cause when i was like 10 or 11, every night i would get major leg aches, so bad that i couldnt sleep and my mom or dad would have to come in and massage my legs...well i just started wondering if the famous %26quot;Growing Pains%26quot; is true....Im 14 and 6ft....and im wondering if im done growing or not...but its weird cause recently ive had leg aches at night %26quot;again%26quot; but THANK GOD they arent as bad as the used to be and knee pains(hope its not arthritis!hahaha but i think im too young)...but i havent seen any change in my height or anything...well just a thought! ;)

Hi, last year my husband earned approx 拢18500 whilst I stayed at home with the children and took care of them. We were paid approx 拢3500 in tax credits over the year. This year we filled out the review pack and stated that I am now working (self employed) and our joint income would be 拢30000 approx. They said our award for this year would be the same as the amount hadn't gone up or down by more than 25k. The situation has now changed and I am on my own earning 拢12000 roughly and I have checked the tax credit calculator online and it seems that although we have lost my husbands 拢18,500 the tax credits dont change? It will be a struggle on my wages and tax credits but I want to work so any ideas? Really cannot afford to get this wrong!

Trying to change rear end of an 81 camaro to a 70 camaro?
I have a 1981 camaro and I am trying to put in a 3.73 posi rear end from a 1970 camaro. The u-joint that I got was for an 81 camaro and does not fit the 70 rear end. Someone told me I need a special joint that is different sizes on each side. please help

Yes you conversion U joint, also known as a bastard joint.
The 81 uses a 3RN (also called 3R) size u joint with inside clips and the 70 uses a 1310 with outside clips. So you need a joint that has the 3Rn size of one side and 1310 on the other.
The neapco part # for the 70 is 1-0153, the part # for the 81 is 2-3011
The Conversion U joint you need is part # 3-3130 (or 3-3130BF for the much stronger, much better brute force U joint)
The std cheap joint at auto zone and advance is $9, the brute force joint is $18
I had to go through this alot on my build. The parts counter guys was no help so I just downloaded the catalog and figured out what I needed
I have a 1988 camaro with a driveshaft that uses 3RN joints, th-400 trans that uses a 1330 and a ford 9%26quot; rear with a 1330 cleveland pinion yoke.
That was a fun one to come up with 2 conversion joints
The 1330 to 3RN wasnt a prob, but no one makes a 3RN to 1330 cleveland conversion joint so have alot of re search I had to make my own rear conversion joint by buying two joints and swapping 2 of the caps around to get what I needed

How to lift a 1989 Ford F150 4x4 with lift blocks.?
I have a 1989 f150 4x4 302. I want to lift it without buying a suspension lift. After researching on the internet I found out about lift blocks. To put lift blocks in, would I have to change anything on my truck? EX: the u joints, the shocks. etc. or do you just stick the blocks in and your truck has an instant lift? Also where do you put the blocks? Is it easy to do or would I have to take it somewhere to get it done? I would like to lift it about 2-3 inches

You have to remember that despite the reason, this is still time he gets to spend with his son. If he doesn't have him most of the time, he probably looks at it with open arms and doesn't hesitate to gain access to him.

First let me ask, are there any plans to becoming “Mrs.” instead of his being your “bf”. The question has to do with Family. As a boyfriend, he is not accountable, per se. The child is forever in his life. The mother is forever connected through the child in his life. His having joint custody means that they will be in communication even after they are both married to others because they have a child. A nine year old in this situation can be very unstable. This is a time for the two of them to pay close attention to this child. Now, when it comes to you, after marriage, you become family and will be a part of the planning. It is through marriage that you are connected and through blood the son is connected.
I understand that is can be very frustrating and angering but the reasons for the scheduling due to the ex-wife meeting or having a date is really not the issue. The issue is not being spoken in this forum. I will say that experience has provided that after marriage, as the wife, there was an established respect and acknowledgement as family.
Common respect is what you are asking for as the girlfriend. Common respect has to be implemented by the boyfriend. His child does not see you as family. His child may see you as temporary. Sometimes it takes the adults to as well, to grow up. The intentions of the ex-wife are not clear.
He may be afraid to lose connection with his child but if you became family, that changes the whole legal and moral situation.
Ask him, what are his intentions towards you? The ex-wife is not the problem.

If the kid has nowhere else to go, then you're going to have to take him in sometimes without notice. However, since the mother of the child just wants to date, that's a little selfish of her to do that and then put the kid on you guys. It's give and take. She has to be able to date as well (I'm taking it that she has full custody practically?) - so these little moments of taking care of the kid on days your boyfriend is not supposed to have him could be a real joy to him. You have to understand that his kid is probably going to come first. BUT PLEASE, please please please do not take this out on the kid. I had a stepmother I HATED because she was jealous of my relationship with my father...she eventually pushed me away and now my father and her have a bad relationship. So be nice, otherwise you might get the kid out of the picture but your boyfriend also might start to dislike you.

Secondly, you have to make it know that you want the respect of being informed of the decision or you'll never get it. After four years, it's kinda late in the game, but it's not impossible. Just don't expect it to busy. He is under her controll to an extent (DON'T SAY THAT TO HIM!!!). Also, she must have some type of influence over him. she sound controlling. You cannot be the same way. so don't forcebly demand anything from him. Try this:
If he decides to get his son duringa time that you have something planned for you and him, change the plans to where it incorporates all three of you. If not, don;t pout. Tell him that you don't appreciate being ignored and that you expect for him to inform you.

suddently i found my right knee make 2 sounds when i climb stairs one sound like as if u break a wooden stick and the other sound like you brake a bone and i feel as if there is something heavy on its top, It is hard to clim stairs. what do u suggest, do u have any exercises to cure my knee without taking pill if i go to doctor. Is climbing stairs affects knees activity as my work is in the 4th floor %26amp; i have to go every day. Are stairs dangerous for legs? Will my knee return as it was. Is it better to change my work place to be in the first floor. What do u suggest. Pls help.

That is more than likely caused by the tendon for your kneecap shortening up on you. It pulls the kneecap up on and into the knee making it hard to raise your knee. Here is how you can release that tendon and get back to doing the stairs:
Kneecap: (Use a chair that has no cross members on it.)
While sitting start with your leg out in front of you extended out to a comfortable length. Wrap your hands around it so you leave a open working area. Place your thumbs about two inches behind your knee and press into the top middle of your leg hard and hold. Relax. After 30 seconds, slowly slide that leg back until it is pulled up under the chair as far as you can make it go. Then release the pressure but hold your leg there for one minute longer.
Be sure to keep a good pressure during the whole time especially when doing the sliding of the leg. If you don't it won't take. If that happens try it again and it should go.

2003 F250 Superduty 4x4 Popping noise on drivers side?
Truck has 80K. Popping duration 1-3 sec. slight feeling in floorboard/pedal. Only occurs in left turn and occasional straight driving. No vibration, power loss, or change in steering felt. Occurs at slower speeds (under 30). Casual inspection looks good. U-Joints appear good, no shavings or wear observed. Pass. Hub did feel pretty hot. Help Please
2003 F250 Superduty 4x4 Popping noise on drivers side?
Are you having any problems with 4x4 engage/disengage. How are the hublocks? Do they turn freely? I have seen SEVERAL where they've seized. Replacement is very simple. Simply remove the big 'c' shaped retaining ring, and the hub lock just pulls out. You may want to remove the left/front hub lock and drive it, to see if the noise goes away. If it doesn't, it looks like you need a new hub %26amp; bearing assembly, which I definitely do not recommend you even think of attempting to replace yourself, unless you happen to be a mechanic yourself. Put the front of the truck on jack stands, set the e-brake and have someone turn the wheel back and forth while you inspect the front end, tie rod ends, drag link, sway bar, tie rod ends ball joints track bar...if the tie rod ends are bad you will see the joints move up and down. this is the best way to inspect the front of your truck, as with out the weight taken off the front end it will be difficult to trouble shoot the problem.
Sounds like one of your hubs is trying to engage,check the tension of the return spring inside the hub locks,,and check for constant voltage in the hub lock system,,should be off when switch is off ,you need to have this checked out before major wear takes place.from eyebrow waxing AJAX in .net

Are you having any problems with 4x4 engage/disengage. How are the hublocks? Do they turn freely? I have seen SEVERAL where they've seized. Replacement is very simple. Simply remove the big 'c' shaped retaining ring, and the hub lock just pulls out. You may want to remove the left/front hub lock and drive it, to see if the noise goes away. If it doesn't, it looks like you need a new hub %26amp; bearing assembly, which I definitely do not recommend you even think of attempting to replace yourself, unless you happen to be a mechanic yourself. Water pump stud broke. Am I screwed?
1994 Geo Metro XFi.
The lower left water pump mounting stud broke as I was trying to torque with a Powerbuilt click type torque wrench good for between 10-150 foot lbs. My manuals (cliton鈥檚 and mitchell鈥檚) both said 115 Inch lbs for the torque spec. 115 inches pounds = 9.58333333 foot pounds. So, I figured it would be ok to just set the wrench for 10 ft lbs and I鈥檇 be ok, in fact it鈥檚 so close to 10 ft lbs, I don鈥檛 know why they didn鈥檛 just say 10 ft lbs.
Unforntuately I didn鈥檛 have the right extension to get on that lower left nut and was forced to use my u-joint, which I know you鈥檙e not supposed to do, but it was exactly the right length and I held it perfectly straight with my other hand so I figured it would be just the same as a straight extension. It ended up breaking the stud. Now I鈥檓 not sure what to do. I can feel the stud sticking through the back side of the water pump mounting surface.
Is the stud pressed into place?
How do I get the stud out to change it?
Where can I find a replacement stud?

The main problem now is not getting another stud but rather getting the old stud out. If it's broken off with access to it, try a pair of vice grips. If it's broken flush, try a reverse turning (CCW) drill bit - it may back right out when the bit bites into the metal - if it doesn't, you will have a nice hole to try an easy out in. If all else fails, drill it completely out, re-thread it for a heli-coil and you'll be good to go.
Don't despair - it's sometimes normal for a 10 minute job to turn into a frustrating hour or two.

BW35 transmission rebuild kit?
I have an old 67 Volvo 122S with a bw35 tranny. The transmission wasn't maintained before I got it and its starting to go. It slips when it changes gears, shuttering, clunking when put into gear, etc. Enough putting it off, I don't want to drive it until it goes, I want it fixed.. I'm wondering where I could buy a transmission rebuilt kit.
I also want to know, is this just the U-joint? If and when I buy the transmission rebuild kit, should I flush the transmission before I get it rebuilt just to see if it gets better and return the kit if it works? Thanks

we'll a week ago i smoked this bud with my boys it smelled like metallic but where like who cares so we roll a joint and smoke it and like we did 7 hard hits and like 5 Min's later when were walking on the grass in the park the grass are the move slowly when i look at it like everything was skipping around and like 3 second later i see this scarecrow in the park but it disappeared and the my vi son gets all wobbly and i could barely even walk. and we walk passed this store that had a wearid name like cho coc and when i went pass it when i wasn't high the name changed. u guys think my weed was laced?

Wrong fuel relay installed--burnt relay fuse box now--truck stalls with new relay as it it shorting out?
on Dec 6/07 we took our 1996 Suburban for a block heater and u-joint to our local service station. After picking up truck we got 5 miles out and realized we were over red line--they neglected to replace the antifreeze.Towed us in--replaced fluids-sent on way.8 days later fuel relay goes-replaced it.2 weeks later fuel pump goes-replaced it.2 weeks later we started stalling out-sometimes completely,sometimes just loss of power for a second or two.Took it to garage--said possible C02 sensor-sent on way-still stalling. 3 weeks we stalled,one day it wouldn't start. Towed us in.Service station claims they found the problem--the fuel relay fuse was burnt and the connection it plugs into was burnt so they cleaned up all connections and sent us on our way.5 days later it starts stalling(9 times/7 miles)Take to a different mechanic--found problem--fuel relay is red hot--it is the wrong relay!now we have the right relay, connection inside is still burnt. How do you change connections in fuse box?

If the fuel relay is burning up, then you have an issue with either poor connections in the fuel circuit, poor grounds in the circuit or the pump is pulling too much amperage. Take the vehicle to the dealer. I would install an ammeter and see what the current draw is on this circuit. I would then perform voltage drop tests to check for poor connections. This problem is most likely out of the service station's grasp.

Well some fuse boxes you'll find unused relay sockets or fuse sockets and you could then you proper wire and connectors to simply pop an old circuit out of a vehicle at the auto wreckers and connect it up to the old box.Or you could buy a universal relay housing that you could simply add to the old fuse box via proper gauged wires or replace the whole fuse box
If anybody knows how to peel and wrap wires so they can be soldiered and then a special heat sink tube added as insulation then I'd probably change the whole fuse box and by the way if it's the under hood fuse box their actually called power distribution centres and aren't that hard to replace if you've the basic know how.After all the fuse box might be melted more then you think it is and it's not good to use the old relay socket.But basically the wires you see going to the relay via connectors should pop out but I'm not sure on that vehicle if their like that.

If the mechanc says it ok and its working you may not have to do anything other thatn check the wires to make sure they are not burnt through casuing a shortage.
The reason it burnt was becasue the relay was to low rated drthe system tried to draw too much power though it so it got too hot
If i remember rightly the relay is in the fuse box under the hood yep....
You could get the repair workshop manual and look it will show you haw to replace the fuse box.... I am not 100% sure but i think some suburbans the fuse box is wired in such away that it you would need to buy a complete wiring harnes ... which i would not attemp to fit myself ...
You could unscrew the fuse box look under ans fee how its wired and if you can by pass the connector adn splice in a new one
Or you can clean the connectors and put the relay back in the fuse box.....delegates swollen from biting nails
