k lets say you rolled up a joint but didnt smoke it for a year or more. would the weed still be useful or would it be dangerous to smoke and somehow changed and rotted away as years went by and turned in to a hazerdous minor poisonous (something like that)???

Unless you kept it in an airtight container, it's probably gotten old and moldy, inspect the marijuana for white spots, that's mold.
