Just changed the wheel bearings and u joints on my jeep and was wondering what keeps water from getting in the differential. There is no seal in the axle tube.

there are seals in the front axle. They are inboard in the axle tubes. Actually right where the tubes go into the differential case. You cant see them unless you take the differential carrier out. That is how you change them.
